We have been closed our orphanage after hudhud cyclone hit and drastically damaged our orphanage and also last all our things. Hence we have no orphanage at present but we are doing volunteer works like Read and Write programmes Government Elementary School Children at their School location with volunteers who will willing to participate volunteer works without any honorarium but there will be 7 members as the group.


Many people in the society are looking for helping hands. Let’s be a hope to them. Amma Nanna Charitable Trust is one among them. India, Andhra Pradesh, Visakhapatnam.


Amma Nanna Charitable Trust (ACT) is an idea based on a simplest thought “to ignite young minds towards social service”. The Trust was established on 2002 but registered on 7th Dec 2005 with a motto “helping hands are better than prying hands” When The trust was established with strong objectives to bring change in society, Our founder Mr. Koteswara Rao Gurubelli had only one thought in his mind, that a radical change in our attitude towards our society and he made it clear that mere donation would not change the society, participation would result in change.


Societal change is our central idea on which our charitable trust built. Our founder Mr. Koteswara Rao made a beautiful plan to transform our society radically. Whenever someone offers a donation, he warmly refuses instead he asks that particular person to volunteer for the “cause”. People usually show time constraints as the reason to not to volunteer. If you are willing to volunteer, ACT will provide all support to utilize whatever tiny time you have at your disposal.

There are many instances how ACT initiated small programs which yielded greater results, one such example is evening classes to regional (Especially in Telugu States) government school kids/street boys/orphan children with the help of volunteers. The idea behind this to streamline learning methods of those who were not guided well. Here a volunteer gathers kids in a particular location every evening or in his free time in weekends and teach them how to organize their studies and play time, which indirectly helps those kids in long run. ACT Already have a blue print for this and the volunteers can use that.

Our society is in critical condition, when it comes to help our fellow beings. Some people concentrate on accumulation of wealth or to damage others, at the same time many people are interested in helping others but there don’t have enough resources to extend their help. ACT is there for such who wants to put their heat and soul to help others. We at ACT guide independent volunteers as how they can start initiating the societal change with controlled steps, all he/she (volunteers) need is basic education and strong will to help others. It’s very simple but forms a group as in 7 members in volunteer (your) location/street/village/area and they (you) will teach to kids in the evening hours after their (children) school session completed. This programme will continuing just like this, one volunteer teach on Monday, second volunteer on Tuesday, third one on Wednesday, … so on and seventh one on Sunday like this repeating the process easily.

In our present “profit/loss” society, everything is economics. “How much I invest and how much I get in return” is the attitude everywhere. The above statement is not to criticize anyone, but to recognize the kind of drift of our society towards finding monetary gains in everything. In these critical situations, we human being can only help our fellow beings, to attain respect towards human values rather looking for profit everywhere. ACT will help you find happiness in extending your helping hand.
